About me
Bonnie holds a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and an M.A. in Science Education Biology from Western Governors University. She is a certified special education teacher and has over a decade of experience in special education, teaching in various settings on the continuum of services. She has experience leading departments, creating and managing IEPs, and advocating for students. Her passion for special education students inspired her to write her non-fiction piece, "What to Look for in Every Section of the IEP: A Parent's Guide," aiming to guide parents through optimizing their child's IEP based on their unique circumstances. Bonnie believes that IEPs can be the driving force behind student success to help students achieve gainful employment, independent living, and further education.
